Portland's unique character isn't built by big box stores or national chains. It's built by the passionate individuals who open independent shops, roast their own coffee, craft unique goods, run service-based businesses like naturopathic clinics, massage therapy studios, and photography businesses, and serve our neighborhoods.
Bridgetown Spotlight was created to celebrate and elevate these local gems. We believe that when we support local businesses, we invest in our community, our neighbors, and the vibrant culture that makes Portland home.
We firmly believe that local businesses shouldn't need a massive marketing budget just to be seen. That's why Bridgetown Spotlight is—and always will be—a completely free platform for Portland's small business community.

Bridgetown Spotlight is curated by Cecilia Villalon, founder of Cozy Tech Cottage and a Portlander since 2001. She spent over 25 years in big tech before turning her focus to the small businesses that give Portland neighborhoods like Kenton and St. Johns their character, helping them grow through web design, digital strategy, and AI-powered marketing tools.
Bridgetown Spotlight grew out of a simple belief: the businesses built on real skill and genuine community roots deserve to be seen.
