Since 2010, Letterpress PDX has been hand-printing business cards, wedding invitations, postcards, bookplates, hang-tags, stationery, and more on over four tons of historic equipment that fills their North Portland studio. This isn't a print-on-demand operation running files through a digital queue. The studio doubles as a retail shop carrying their own line of greeting cards and paper goods alongside work from ten or more other local printers and artists, so even a casual visit turns into a genuine exploration of what Portland's independent print community is actually making. Single cards, boxed sets, framed and unframed prints, and the presses themselves, which are always worth watching when they're running.

For custom projects, Letterpress PDX works with small businesses, designers, artists, and publishers who want something that looks genuinely considered without a budget that assumes otherwise. The process starts with a studio consultation where you can handle paper samples, flip through previous work, and figure out exactly what you're after. Phone and video consults are available by appointment, and they'll mail you paper samples if you can't make it in.
